About Us

 

San Diego Youth Sports was developed out of necessity.  As parents of very active young athletes (6 children between the 2 families who own and produce this site); we found it nearly impossible to keep up with all the options available throughout this amazing county.  With 12 different sports between the kids, you can do the math on the number of teams, events, and practices we were looking at.

As parents, you want to do the best you can for each child and provide them with the tools they as individuals will need to succeed in their own unique way.   I’m sure you’ve found, if you get involved in the competitive side of the county, how hard it is to keep your child from becoming a ‘one sport wonder’, as it seems the training cycle never ceases.  Our hope is that we will be able to show you that there are year round choices both large and small in commitment level in every sport, throughout the county.  Thus enabling you to allow your children to find their own special skill or talent, and just have a lot of fun.
